Tissue Cultured Banana Plant G9
Introduction:-
Banana Plant is one of the major fruit yielding plant and covers almost 20% of total crop cultivated land in India. It provides a major source of income on a regular basis within a very short span of plantation. Most of the banana is grown by planting suckers. With scientific development verities which are better in yield propagated through Tissue Culture has been introduced and has now captured the interest of farmers who are now growing tissue cultured banana plant and earning well.

Climatic Requirement:-
Tissue Cultured Banana Plant G9 is a tropical plant and grows well in temperatures between 15 to 35 degrees Celsius and with humidity between 75 to 85. It should not be planted in temperatures below 12 degree Celsius as it will damage the crop. High wind velocity exceeding 80 Kms per hour damages the crop. It normally requires at least 4 months of high monsoon with rainfall ranging between 650 to 750 mm for a high yielding crop. Tissue Cultured Banana grows well in deep rich loamy soil with PH between 6.5 to 7.5. The soil should be well drained. Tissue cultured banana does not grown well in Saline or alkaline soil.
Soil Requirement:-
Tissue Cultured Banana Plant G9 Grows well in a soil that is not too acidic or alkaline. It should have high Nitrogen Content and ample of phosphorus and rich in potash is good for Tissue Cultured Banana plant. Saline Calcareous and poorly drained soil is not good for Banana Cultivation.

5 feet x 6 feet per Plants an ideal spacing being practised by commercial growers.
Yield on Harvesting:-
Tissue Cultured Banana Plant G9 crop gets ready for harvesting between 13 to 14th month of plantation and average yield with drip irrigation and routine management the yield can be around 100 Tonne per Hectare. Maximum 3 harvesting of crop can be done over a period of 28 to 32 months from plantation.
